Liturgy of the Word for Children is sometimes referred to as "Children's Church", but it is really a presentation of the readings at the 11:00am Mass in the Day Chapel for children age 4 - grade 4, at their level with words, and thoughts that they can understand. And for the volunteers, it's one of the easiest, most enjoyable ministries available!
Children are called forward after the opening prayers in the Main Sanctuary and led out by the catechist and are welcome in the Day Chapel by the team helpers for the day.
* Readers, to proclaim the word of God
* Music Ministers, to lead song through sing or play an instrument
* Catechists, to give a reflection on the Gospel for the day
* Look Outs, who keep a check on the timing in the main church
* Emcee, who keeps the program flowing
* Sucessfully complete You Matter Training.
* Participate in monthly planning meeting.
* Then help your team to faciliate that presentation on the assigned Sunday, only once a month during the 11:00am Mass you are already attending!
