Prepare for Sacraments

Infant Baptism

Parents presenting their infant child for baptism should expect to attend a three part class. Registration forms are available in the Gathering Area on the credenza.  Baptisms are not scheduled until parents attend the classes.

It is expected that parents requesting baptism for their child are attending Mass.

Reconcilliation Eucharist & Confirmation

A candidate for the Sacraments of Eucharist, Reconciliation or Confirmation must be a registered member of St. Pius X Catholic Parish. If the candidate is not a member, a letter of permission must be presented from the pastor of the parish to which the candidate belongs to the pastor of St. Pius X parish.

Candidates should be able to provide the original baptismal certificate to Religious Education staff upon request.

If you anticipate that other activities, events or programs will compete with the time necessary for sacramental preparation, you should consider postponing the preparation until such a time that allows commitiment to the preparation process.

Students falling in the grade level norm for preparation, 2nd grade Penance and Eucharist and 10th grade Confirmation should be registered and have 80% or better attendance in the parish's Religious Education program at least one year prior, the foundational year, to the year of immediate preparation.

  • Parents of students outside of the grade level norm for preparation listed above or adults seeking sacrament above should contact the Religious Education Office.  (770) 929-1017
