This is a very rewarding ministry that gives you the opportunity to proclaim the word of the Lord. Lectors devote time and preparation to understand the Word of God so that all may hear and be open to God transforming their lives. Lectors require good reading skills.

At the 11:00 a.m. Mass children ages 4-9 hear the Word of God at their level. After the opening prayer they are dismissed to the Day Chapel with a team of adults. The First Reading and the Gospel are proclaimed; there is an interactive engaging reflection, the Creed, and Prayers of the Faithful. The children return to their families in the main sanctuary during the Procession of the Gifts.
